Team AI training for trade and civil contractors · from $2,500
Your team, using AI on their own work.
Many people still use AI much like a search engine. They type a question, read the answer and move on. That's a good place to start, and it can do far more once it knows your business.
In this session your team learns how, using the work they already do. They practise on real jobs, check the results, and see when to trust an answer and when to question it. That's where the confidence comes from.

What your team does.
There are four steps, and each one builds on the last. The examples are made up, to show the kind of work your team could bring.
Start with a job they already do
Your team chooses a job they know well and works through it with an AI tool. Because they know what good looks like, they can spot what it gets right and what it gets wrong.
For exampleAn electrical contractor might use a customer quote. A civil contractor might use a monthly job report, and the office might use a reminder about an expiring licence or insurance certificate.
Your team leaves withA real piece of their own work and a clearer sense of what to check.
Give that job its own workspace
Your team sets up one place that holds the background and files for one area of work, so nobody has to explain them again in every new chat. Claude and ChatGPT, for example, both call this a Project.
For exampleA Quotes workspace might hold the price list, past quotes and standard terms. A Prequalification workspace might hold licences, insurances and company details, so nobody retypes them.
Your team leaves withA workspace set up for that job.
Show AI how your business does it
Your team writes instructions, much like a briefing for a new starter. They then save the steps for that job so the tool can follow them each time the job comes up. In Claude, for example, this is called a skill.
For exampleThe instructions might say to use Australian English, follow a set layout and point out any missing job details. A saved quote setup might turn site notes into a first draft in the business's own format.
Your team leaves withWritten instructions and a first saved setup, tested on their own work.
Agree how the team will use it
Your team decides who does each part of the job and what a person must check before anything goes out.
For exampleA site lead writes up the job notes and AI prepares the first draft. The estimator then checks the prices, and the owner approves the quote before it goes to the customer.
Your team leaves withA written process they can keep using and improve.
Half day or full day.
Both cover all four steps, for up to 12 people, online or in person. The difference is how many jobs your team works on.
Want something different?
The four steps are one way to run the session. If your team needs something else, such as AI basics, or you have a particular tool or topic in mind, tell me what you're after and I'll tailor the session to suit. It's the same half day and full day pricing.
Includes one prep call. One team per session. Travel is quoted separately for in-person sessions.
Questions about the training.
Which AI tool do you teach?
The one that suits your team, which could be Claude, ChatGPT or a tool your business already uses. Features differ between tools, so I confirm the choice on the prep call.
Which plan does my team need?
It depends on the tool, and sharing a workspace may need a business plan. In Claude, for example, Projects and skills are on every plan, but the free plan allows five Projects and has lower usage limits, and sharing across the team needs the Team or Enterprise plan. Plans change, so I confirm what you need on the prep call. The plan cost is separate from the session.
Who looks after accounts and setup?
You do. Accounts, access and approvals stay with your business, and I tell you beforehand exactly what is needed.
Is it safe to use our real work?
That depends on your plan's settings and on what your business and your clients have agreed to. I go through this on the prep call. Until you have decided, the team can practise on real kinds of jobs with names and private details removed.
Will AI get things wrong?
Sometimes, and it can sound sure of itself when it does. Checking the output is part of every step, and a person checks anything before it goes out. The team also learns which jobs need a closer look.
Does my team need any AI experience?
No. The session starts with a job they already know. If they already use AI, they start from there and go further.
What if some of the team are nervous about AI?
That's common, and those questions are welcome in the session. Your team keeps their expertise and their judgement, and they decide what gets checked and what goes out.
What do we need to prepare?
One prep call with me to choose the job or jobs, plus a few examples of that work, such as past quotes or job reports. I confirm the rest on the call.
How do online sessions work?
They follow the same four steps at the same price. Everyone needs their own computer and a reliable connection, so they can work on their own jobs during the session.
How much does travel cost?
Travel only applies to in-person sessions and is quoted separately, wherever your team is.
How will I know it made a difference?
Your team answers a few short questions before and after the session, covering how confident they feel, who does the job and how long it takes. You get to see what changed.
Can you tell us what to put in our tenders or SWMS?
No. You and your advisers decide what goes in your tenders, SWMS, claims and variations. I teach your team to make the work around those documents more efficient, and I don't give legal, safety or tender advice.
Do we need a strategy review first?
No. You can book the training without a review or a build. If you want to look at the whole business first, the strategy review does that.
Want to talk about your team?
Tell me about your team and the jobs they do most, and I'll tell you which option suits.
